Search and Rescue Training

In 2014, Search and Rescue Trainings were held in the parishes of St. Catherine, St. Thomas, St. Ann, St. James, and Trelawny. Subsequently, a Search and Rescue Training was conducted on 30 April, 2015 at the National Centre for Youth Development in Westmoreland. The Secretariat coordinated with the Caribbean Search Centre of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) to equip volunteers with the necessary skillsets to assist in a planned police search if called upon. The theoretical and practical exposure to effective search and rescue techniques will undoubtedly prove helpful when called upon.
