Break The Silence School Tour

The Office of the Children’s Registry (OCR) is excited to begin this year’s series of School Tours, which are being done in partnership with the Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF) and a number of other agencies within the child protection sector:
• Child Development Agency (CDA)
• National Parenting Support Commission (NPSC)
• Community Safety and Security Branch (CSSB of the JCF)
• Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA)

The tour will see stops being made at six schools; Ocho Rios Primary, Discovery Bay Primary, Old Harbour Primary, Christiana Moravian Primary and Infant, Browns Hall Primary and Mandeville Primary and Junior High.

Students, their parents are teachers will be engaged in sensitization sessions about child abuse, how to identify it and how to report it.

The Honorable Floyd Green, MP. will also be participating in the School Tours scheduled for Ocho Rios Primary and Christiana Moravian Primary and Infant.
